Ever since sharing my (gorgeous!) nursery dresser from Nurture&, I’ve received a lot of questions about the main factors I considered when purchasing a nursery dresser and why I decided to go with The Newport Dresser from Nurture&.

Is it better to buy a dresser or a changing table?
This is the #1 most commonly asked question- and one that I would have answered differently before I did my research. One of my favorite aspects about all Nurture& dressers is that they have a matching changing topper available, so you can easily use your dresser as both a changing table and a place to store their clothes. Unlike a traditional changing table, I also appreciate that the dresser features three closed drawers on the top row, which keeps baby girl’s wipes, washcloths and diapering materials well organized and accessible without being a major eyesore. Most traditional changing tables feature open shelving and can look cluttered really easily. The changing topper provides all of the benefits of a traditional changing table and when the diaper days are over, you can slide off the topper and it’s officially a beautiful dresser.
Did you buy your dresser as part of a nursery set?
Yes! I got The Newport Dresser and Crib, both in the natural color. One of my favorite things about Nurture& is their bundle & save option. Do Nurture& Dressers Come Assembled?
Another bonus about Nurture& dressers is zero assembly is required! I may be a DIY-er, but I wanted to save my skills for fun stuff like wallpaper and didn’t want to fidget with thousands of nails while I stressed about getting the drawers to close perfectly. I absolutely love the color and quality of the wood and the drawers are really sturdy and easy to open and close. When it comes to the place where I’m going to change my baby multiple times a day, durability is key and I really feel like this dresser is built to last.
Is It Worth The Splurge?
100% happy with my dresser! I wouldn’t even say it’s a splurge when you factor in the Bundle & Save discount and consider the fact that this is a piece of furniture that we will use for many years to come.
